Design
office
The
design office is equipped with the latest computer hardware and software.
The technicians use the CATIA Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software by Dassault
Systèmes, as well as a Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) program called
CIMATRON, all working on Silicon Graphics workstations.
The design office handles the design of any part or complex assembly: tubular
chassis, engine frames, aeronautical type structural frames of steel (in particular
15 CDV6), aluminum or titanium, machined or machined and welded.
For
information, here is a non-exhaustive list of parts that the company produces
regularly for automobile competition or aeronautical applications.
Structures:
Engine support mountings, gearbox support mountings, distancing bars, tubular
structures, chassis, aeronautical frames, etc.
Front and rear suspension, engine parts:
Hub supports, suspension triangles and arms, anti-roll bars, stabilizer bars,
tow-in tie-rods, steering connecting rods, gearbox housings, etc.
Accessories:
Pedals, pedal supports, seat mountings, gearshift control supports, turbo
supports, oil tanks, gasoline buffer tanks, water boxes, etc.
For
design offices, with 25 years of experience, Don Foster presents technical
information about steel, titanium and aluminum in the "Materials"
pages.
